The path

Two simple ideas (organising data and renting computing power) took fifty years to become the world's infrastructure.

Understanding data, databases, pipelines, cloud models and the trade-offs of dependence.

From the spreadsheet to the lakehouse, from SQL to Kubernetes: the data/cloud toolbox from beginner to professional.

From buildings to uses: where value is created, and where European sovereignty is at stake.

Cloud, analytics, AI, sovereignty, FinOps: where value is created and which jobs are hiring.

Less spectacular than those of AI or blockchain, data/cloud risks are more systemic: everything rests on them.

AI, energy, sovereignty, the Data Act, edge computing and agents: the next transitions of digital infrastructure.
